1 a. you would have to provide evidence of what and how a hybrid does differently from the HEMI so that it helps the environment
b. if its not neccessary to hurt the environment then dont and get the hybrid; if it is then et the hemi
c. i have to convince the other side that having a hemi is selfish. there is no real need to have the self satisfaction of owning a hemi while affecting the world which others are a part of.
d. one way some one can counter this is by ssaying that the world has been around for thousands of years and has been fine. just by them having their little car will not affect the entire world
2 a. you would have to gather evidence that shows how welfare works, who recieves it, and under what circumstance.
b. it is not neccessary for woman to have children just to recieve a payceck from the government
c. i have to show what will happen to the economy after we take away the welfare budget and invest it into more important things such as medical insurance etc.
d. the other side may propose that it is hard to raise a child by themselves so work will hard to get around to and without work there comes no money.

gender- i am a male. males happen to be more dominate and controling of their objects
age- i am a teenager. many people see teenagers as know it alls and dont care about anyone else. also that they do not show respect to authoritative figures
ethnic- i am a cuban puerto rican so hispanic in general. hispanics tend to be very family oriented and are loud at times. also hispanic males are very protective
religion- i am a christian. when people see that i am hispanic they automatically think i am catholic which is part wrong because there are certain things that i disagree with
political party- i am a republican. political stance can cause a lot of debate especially when you go against someones beliefs. in two of the main topics today in America people will see me as biased against gay marriage and abortion but i do have somewhat of a liberal stance towards them.

circle with a line through= do not
skeleton= death
red light= stop
friday the 13th= bad luck
four leaf clover= good luck
eagle= hollister
these are just some symbols that people see on an average day. most people do not even realize it because they already know what it means unconciously. some stand out more than others because of their color. red seems to catch more attention and mean something more important while a sign that is white or yellow mabey not as important.

In doing both sides of desribing i saw that the way you sit down and put into words something that you are describing can change the readers view on the place. if i were to focus on all the positive aspects and even word some of the negative aspects as something positive the reader will see the atrium as a good and fun place. but then if i start describing it in a negative way and only say that it is uncomforatble and not a very friendly atmosphere then no one would like it. this tells me something. the next time i read some sort of critic on somethingi have to take into effect who is talking. they may not like one aspect and put the whole thing down, so i have to think for myself. also i think a paper would be more relliable if they include both sides of a story instead of being completely about only one side.
blog 12 atrium observation
In the fiu atrium there is a calm atmosphere. First is that it is a great pit stop for a student or professor between classes because there is not only food but also there are tables in which to sit and converse. While I sat there for half an hour I noticed that most people are not alone. In one table there were two friends sitting speaking in what seemed to be French and enjoying a casuel late lunch. There was a different two friends who were sitting just doing there own thing while killing time. The guy was finishing up a lab report and the girl was surfing myspace on her laptop. Another thing that is cool about what goes on is the professor student relationship. There seemed to be a professor who was having lunch with some students. I believe that they were having lunch with them for either a further explanation of lessons in his class or that they were interviewing him because he seemed to be the one talking more than the others. There was also a mom who worked at subway having lunch with her young son. He looked as if he was nine years old. They were talking to eachother with smiles and speaking about cartoons and kids stuff. Also what affected the mood of the atrium was the weather. Outside the wind was calm, not moving any trees, the clouds were gray and the campus was quiet. It was actually very relaxing. Another fact that was interesting is that it seems people pass by to just find a frind to talk to. While I was waiting there seemed to be about seven people who passed by and looked towards the tables as if looking for someone before leaving.
When I visited the fiu atrium it was for a negative apects because of the setting. When I got there it was a very dark and gloomy day. The sky was full of gray clouds and put a mellow mood in the air. When I first arrived I could see that everyone did not seem to really want to mingle. The tables in the atrium are arranged in sort of a circular shape. Well everyone that came to sit went straight to the outside tables on the rim instead of going for the inside tables. Not only did they sit on the rim but they also sat facing towards a wall or towards no one else that was sitting around them Also there were a lot of loners. By this I mean people who sat alone and did not look or act happy at all. They simply sat by themselves, were listening to their ipods, and were on their laptop or in their books. Also they had a very serious face on. So, while it was quiet and gloomy you can hear some people’s conversations. One lady was on the phone with what seems to be her boyfriend and was fighting with him over some plans for the weekend. Lastly, most of the people sitting around seem stressed out and studying. Some tables had about five large books on them that people were reading or waiting to read.

Conclusion 1
Through these two advertisements we can see how beer companies tend to focus on not only a certain gender but also the different mindsets of the gender. Bud Light is looking for a more relaxed and comfortable mindset that will just get up and grab a beer, and Dos Equis lures in a more stressed out man seeing the life he wishes he has.
Conclusion2
Advertising is not simply taking a picture of your product and hoping people will give it a try. It’s a psychological game. A game where the advertisers must get into people’s heads and not only grab but squeeze that part of their brain which will make a customer out of anyone. Only then have the advertisers accomplished their goal. Their goal of making money through their products.
in my first conclusion i more of summed up the paper. so i tried to change it up a little bit by writting a more general conclusion. the first one responded directly to my introduction and body paragraphs and almost just restated what was already formally said. in my second conclusion i talked about advertising in general. i talked about what makes a good advertisement and what the goal of an advertisement is. so by taking this different approach i thought it would be a change from the traditional conclusions which alwasy say the same thing and have the same formula. the formula of restating your these, then talking about your major points, and then finishing with a closing statement. I am hoping that this adds a little more touch to the paper' however i am not sure if it really answers the "so what?" question.
